I am a young driver. How can I get a lower rate?

This is for Canadian drivers, but could apply to young drivers in general, especially elsewhere in North America.
First, get a Drivers Training Certificate. This will start you off with a better Driving Record. (For example DR3 instead of DR1). This translates into a better rate. My car policy is being cancelled for Non-payment. What should I do?

If you are in Ontario, Canada, you car insurance policy can get canceled for non-payment of premium (also called “Non-Payment Cancellation”) if you have 2 NSFs (“Bounced Payments”, or “Non Sufficient Funds”) during one term (not to be confused with a Calendar Year, as most policies don’t start on January 1st). What should I do if I’m in a car accident?

1. Try to remain calm at the scene. Chances are both or more parties to the accident love their car. Don’t act emotionally.
